Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash, one of which was a Hartselle school bus, at the intersection of Corsbie and Chestnut streets Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. when a collision occurred between the bus and a car. The bus headed north on Corsbie Street NW while the car was traveling west on Chestnut Street NW.

There was no visible damage on the school bus, but the front end of the car was severely damaged.

Hartselle Police Investigator Lt. Justin Barley said emergency vehicles responded to the accident but no one was reported injured. The car had to be towed from the scene.

School Superintendent Dr. Mike Reed said that no one was hurt on the bus.

“The bus was able to finish its route,” Reed said. “We’re not sure what happened. We won’t know what happened until we see the police report.”
