Hartselle sweeps Center Point to advance

Hartselle (52-19) defeated Center Point in straight sets, 25-16, 25-15, 25-22, to advance to the North Super-Regional Class 5A quarterfinals.

They will play at 9 a.m. Saturday morning in an elimination game. The winner will advance to the Elite Eight at the Birmingham Crossplex while the loser’s season will end.

Taylor Dellinger led the attack with 12 kills, 11 digs and five aces. Taylor Lybarger also had 11 kills, 16 digs and an assist. Haley Jared added eight kills, six digs and a block.

Melissa Paul Hill set up 30 assists with three aces and a block. Sarah Ellen Battles finished with 16 digs, an assist and an ace.
