Morgan County BOE action items from Oct. 11 meeting

The Morgan County Board of Education acted on other matters as follows:

•Accepted a low bid from Filtech for HVAC filters for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.

•Approved a contract for services with Aleyda Schwaiger for translating and interpreting services on an as-needed basis.

•Approved a contract for services with Appied Behavioral Concepts, Inc., for consultation behavioral management plans, incidental classroom behavioral techniques and Cardinal School Tuition Fee.

•Approved an at-risk counselor contract with the Mental Health Center of North Central Alabama.

•Approved a special education transportation contract with a Morgan County parent to provide transportation for an eligible student from home to Huntsville Achievement School and back each day the student attends school.

•Approved David Woodard as a sick leave committee member from the central office.

•Approved a revised job description for AMSTI/SASP van driver.

•Approved the Morgan County Board of Education Comprehensive English Learner District Plan.
