A 19-year-old Hartselle man is facing theft charges after he was caught speeding in Decatur with a stolen TV in his vehicle.

Tyler Lyndon Elliott of 612 Haley Ann Drive was arrested and charged with burglary in the third degree. His bond has been set at $2,500.

While on patrol, Decatur Police officer Demetrius Hightower stopped a vehicle speeding on Sandlin Road. The vehicle, which was occupied by two juveniles passengers and Elliott, had a flat screen TV in the back seat.
