Gallery: 90 come out for baseball camp

Hartselle High School held its annual baseball camp at Sparkman Park June 4-7, a camp attended by more than 90 students up to 14 years old.

The camp participants learned the basics of fielding, hitting and pitching from head coach and camp director William Booth, along with assistant coaches Jerry Childers and Bryant Whitlock.

They also received instruction from current members of the Hartselle baseball program.

Campers ages 10 and under participated in the camp on June 4-5 at Sparkman Park while players ages 11 and older participated in the camp June 6-7.

Hartselle’s baseball team made it to the semifinals of the state playoffs before losing to Class 5A runner-up Southside-Gadsden. During their run, it included a playoff series win over archrival Cullman.
