Mary Elizabeth Staggs Arnold

Funeral service for Mary Elizabeth Staggs Arnold, 80, of Falkville will be Sat., June 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clyde Ledlow officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Shaw Cemetery, in Colbert Co.

Visitation will be Sat., June 9, from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Arnold died on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born May 20, 1932, in Colbert County to John Raymond Staggs and Nellie Jewel Green Staggs. She was a member of Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Cecil Hall and wife Sandy of Leighton; four daughters, Martha Sue Taylor and Dorothy Ann Fields, both of Hartselle, Mary Jewel Kirk of Caddo and Elsie Davis and husband Raymond of Moulton; four brothers, James Staggs of Walnut Grove , Tenn., Rufus Staggs of Town Creek, Thomas Staggs of Somerville and Mike Staggs of Decatur; four sisters, Faye Clayton of Florence, Marie Scott of Decatur, Nell Thompson of Tuscumbia and Billie Seagle of Decatur.
