Gary Dewane Green

Funeral for Gary Dewane Green, 59, of Decatur will be Sat., Feb. 11, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Richie officiating.

Visitation will be Fri., Feb. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Green died Thur., Feb. 9, 2012, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Mar. 27, 1952, in Limestone County to Floyd O. Green and Lucille Green. He was a born again Christian and a member of Flint Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd O. Green and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Olen Gregg.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Green of Decatur; a son, Seth Green and wife Whitney of Hartselle; a daughter, Tara Green Murphy and husband Randy of Madison; his mother, Lucille Green of Bell Mina; a brother, Don Green of Somerville; three sisters, Annette Montgomery and husband Earl and Anita Green, both of Bell Mina and Connie Millwood of Blountsville; a granddaughter, Larsen Murphy of Madison; and a grandson, Sam, who is due in April.

Pallbearers will be Steve Hall, Randy Barbrey, Roger Cobb, Johnny Nash, Michael Hembree and Bradley Holt

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Flint Baptist Church Building Fund.
