Shady Grove Baptist Church M&M group holds fundraiser

Shady Grove Baptist Church’s M&M group is selling “Candy Grams” for Valentine’s Day for $3 each. The candy gram consists of a card and a small box of chocolates. Anyone wishing to send a candy gram to someone special at Shady Grove Church or to his or her Valentine can fill out one of the information forms on the communion table and give it to Cissy Locklear, Mary Terry or Kellie Sims. The “Candy Gram” project is a fundraiser for Samaritan’s Purse and also Operation Christmas Child. All support will be appreciated.

Special congratulations go out this week to Dewayne and Nancy Eddy on the birth of their daughter. Gracie Mae Eddy. Gracie was born Jan.10, weighing nine pounds and eight ounces. She has a big brother and a big sister, Jasper Eddy and Lillie Kate Eddy. Her proud grandparents are Alfred and Bobbie Holland and Shirley Eddy.

Special belated happy birthday wishes go out this week to Rixie Smith on Jan. 7, Jeannie Alexander on Jan. 8, Nita Perkins on Jan. 19, Billy Don Ryan on Jan. 22. Beth Shelton on Jan.23, Chad Summerford on Jan. 27 and Maggie Tanner on Jan. 31.

Belated happy wedding anniversary wishes go out this week to Clay and Cissy Locklear who celebrated their, 19th anniversary on Jan. 16 and Don and Doris Clark who celebrated their 47th anniversary on Jan. 30.
