Edith Mae Vest Wallace Hyatt

Funeral for Edith Mae Vest Wallace Hyatt, 84, of Hartselle was Sun., Jan. 15, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Walter Blackman and Anthony Patterson officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Mrs. Hyatt died Jan. 13, 2012 . She was born Jan. 18, 1927, to Virgil Vest and Mary Vest. She was a member of East Highland Baptist Church and loved working in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, William B. Wallace and Roy Hyatt; a grandson, Joseph Childers; four brothers, Grady Vest, Franklin Vest, Jerry Vest and Dylan Vest; and a brother-in-law, Stanley Ball.

She is survived by a son, Keith Wallace and wife Cathy of Hartselle; two daughters, Ann Childers and husband Burl of Eva and Kay Russell and husband Fuller of Madison; a brother, James Vest and wife Jean; four sisters, Lucille Ball, Reba Taylor, Judy Holland and husband Dan and Janny Chaney; a sister-in-law, Diane Vest; eight grandchildren, Michelle Bendickson and husband Jon, Chris Wallace and wife Stephanie, Kevin Wallace, Steven Childers and wife Tina, David Childers, Amanda Childers, Jay Russell and wife Angel, and Mardi Stewart and husband Morgan; and 13 great grandchildren.
