Somerville Baptist has big turnout at drive-through nativity

I hope everyone had a wonderful week. There have been lots of beautiful Christmas parades recently. I hope you try to get out and see all of the colorful lights and decorations. This will definitely get you in the holiday spirit.

J.J., Louis, and Jayla Daugette and Taylor Dickson enjoyed a Christmas dinner at the Holiday Inn in Decatur, which was sponsored by Decatur Fire Department, Saturday night.

Somerville Assembly will have its Christmas Somerville Assembly will have its Christmas play Sun., Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. It will be followed by a covered dish meal. Everyone is welcome.

Somerville Baptist Church hosted a drive through live Nativity last weekend. There was a lot of hard work involved in getting it together, but it was rewarded with a big turnout.

Somerville’s Christmas parade was held on Saturday. Many thanks go out to everyone who put so much time and hard work into making the event successful.

Prayers and get well wishes go out to Shala Massey and Dinky Free.

A big hello goes out to Mary Kipple and her dear sister, and also to Gertrude Wray, Frank and Martha Gravatt and Colleen Moore.

Somerville Assembly was very happy to have the Rev. Equator Black as a visitor Sunday night.
