Bell Buckle great historic getaway

Planning a day trip or maybe one with an overnight stay? Let me recommend historic Bell Buckle, Tenn. I spent a couple of days there with my parents, Fred and Evelyn Motes and my sister, Kaye Widener, recently. The weather was great and we had a wonderful time. On Friday, we ate lunch at the Bell Bucket Café. They feature down home cooking and live music on Friday and Saturday nights. The café is located on Railroad Square. There are also some wonderful shops that have something for everyone. The Bell Bucket is famous for the RC Moon Pie Festival, which is held in June each year. The town also features an old-fashioned Christmas observance on Sat., Dec. 3, with lights and old-fashioned decorations.

Happy wedding anniversary wishes go out to Kevin and Martha Loney on Nov. 19, Michael and Glenda Rea on Nov. 20 and Chuck and Kathy Ray on Nov. 22.
