Soul Harbor Baptist has homecoming celebration
I hope everyone had a pleasant fall week. The weather has been beautiful.
Soul Harbor Baptist Church held homecoming services on Sunday. Rev. Van Wray brought the message, a covered dish meal was served afterwards and a gospel singing was conducted in the afternoon. There was a full house and everyone seemed to enjoy having the opportunity to fellowship with one another.
Somerville Assembly held its monthly singing on Saturday night. Over 50 people attended, including Ashley Daugette’s mother, Anna, who is visiting from New York.
Julie and Jayla Daugette spent Saturday night with their Mamaw Vickey Daugette.
My uncle Ray Pendegraph of Birmingham passed away on Thursday night. J.J., Jacob, Vickey, Julie and Jayla Daugette and Tommy and Jennifer Hayes attended the funeral. Our prayers go out to the family and friends. He will be missed very much.
Prayers go out for Ricky Lee Taylor, his wife Maria and baby girl. The baby is less than two weeks old and is a patient at Huntsville Hospital.
Community Baptist Church in Cotaco will conduct homecoming services in November.
The brush arbor meeting, which was held on Rev. Equator Black’s property, was a wonderful event. If you missed it, plan to attend it the next time it is conducted. Bro. Jacob Daugette, Vickey Daugette, Julie and Jayla Daugette, and Jeannie Moore enjoyed attending the meeting Thursday night.
Prayers go out for Dennis “Dinky” Free, Angie Holmes, Dianne Harrison, Freeman Pendegraph and the family and friends of Bea Freeman who passed away last week.
Revival services will be held at Faith Chapel Oct. 21-23 at 7 p.m. nightly. Mary Sue Sandford will be the guest speaker.
A yard sale will be held at the old Neel Senior Center on Neel School Road on Fri., Oct. 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sat., Oct. 15, from 8 a.m. to noon. Proceeds will be used to purchase furnishings for the new Neel Senior Center.
