Carmen Leo Driver

Funeral for Carmen Leo Driver, 89, of Decatur was Wednesday, April 29, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Driver officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Mr. Driver died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his residence. He was born May 26, 1919, in Cullman County to William Driver and Alcie Nunn Driver. He was a World War II Navy veteran serving in both the Pacific and the Atlantic. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 4190. He was a past VFW State Commander and American Legion Commander. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret McGhee Driver.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Blankenship and husband Wendell and Sandra Cook, all of Decatur; three brothers, Charles Driver and Garland Driver, both of Hartselle and Vertis Driver of Muscle Shoals; a sister, Elaine Porter of Tyrone, Ga.; five grandchildren, Kim Lowry, Susan Gossett, Drew Blankenship, Jeff Clem and Shannon Dunaway; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charles Driver, Garland Driver, Vertis Driver, James Dunaway, Drew Blankenship, Jeff Clem, Wendell Blankenship and Andrew Lowry.
