James D. Taylor Jr.

A graveside service for James D. Taylor Jr., 77, of Eva was Wednesday, June 27, at 2 p.m. at Mount Carmel Cemetery near Eva with the Rev. Billy Gable officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Taylor died Monday, June 25, 2007, at his residence. He was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Morgan County to James Draper Taylor Sr. and Elmie Holaway Taylor. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Viola Brown Taylor.
He is survived by five sons, Ronny W. Taylor and Darrell D. Taylor both of Vinemont, Phillip W. Taylor and wife Claudette, and Douglas A. Taylor, all of Eva, and Hilton K. Taylor of Hartselle; a brother, Duane Taylor of Falkville; two sisters, Unzell Livingston and Brenda Taylor, both of Eva; five grandchildren, Stephanie T. Hudson, Jill Payne, James W. Taylor, Christine Smith and Josh Blackmon; four great-grandchildren, McKenna Hudson, Mallory Hudson, Brayden Blackmon and Braxton Blackmon.
Pallbearers were James W. Taylor, Dustin Payne, Scott Hudson, Derrick White, Brandon Livingston and Bo Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
