Emmett Phillips

A Masonic graveside service for Emmett Phillips, 77, of Eva was Friday, June 22, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Mr. Phillips died Monday, June 18, 2007, at Medical Center East in Birmingham. He was born January 11, 1930, in Calhoun County to John Pierce Phillips and Milvina Denny Phillips.
He is survived by his wife, Florene Phillips of Eva; three daughters, Rita Davenport and Hillery Forrester, both of Huntsville, and Robbie Barker of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, John Phillips of Riverside, Ala; two sisters, Annie Sue Laws of Oxford, Ala. and Alice Hoyle of Lockhart, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Sean Norwood, Bert Barker, Phillip E. Barker, Heath Barker, Meganann Barker, Drew Davenport and Abbye Davenport; and a great-grandchild, Pierce Barker.
Pallbearers were Norwood Sean, Bert Barker, Phillip E. Barker, Heath Barker, Meganann Barker and Drew Davenport.
