Found – one 11 foot python. Owner can claim its “pet” at Pet Depot in Decatur.
Hartselle Police received a call Tuesday morning from a driver saying they thought they had run over a large snake on Nanceford Road.
Police officers Sgt. James Holladay and Lt. Robert Finn responded to the scene and, with the help of a passerby, apprehended the snake. It was an 11-foot python that appeared uninjured.
Police Chief Ron Puckett said the snake was taken to Pet Depot.
Puckett said the snake’s owner can pick it up at Pet Depot.
