James Robert Hill

Funeral for James Robert Hill, 68, of Lacey’s Spring was Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Holiness Church with the Revs. Melvin Brown and Jimmy Morrow officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery.
Mr. Hill died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville. He was born April 13, 1938, in Morgan County to Hubert Hill and Lois Taylor Hill. He was well known, well loved and willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Van Hill and Terry Hill; four grandchildren; and two brothers.
He is survived by Ruth Hill and Pauline Thornberry, both of Lacey’s Spring; five sons, Don Hill of Valhermoso Springs and Ron Hill, Randall Hill, James Hill Jr. and Al Thompson, all of Lacey’s Spring; five daughters, Diane Daugette of Grant, Carolyn Lawrence of Union Grove, Samantha Hill and Jessica Hill, both of Lacey’s Spring and Ashley McBride of Huntsville; a brother, Harland Hill of Lacey’s Spring; 26 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Matt Daugette, Scotty Hill, D. J. Hill, Ricky McCutcheon, Mike Gore and Kenny Morrow.
