Bonita K. Mooneyham Varela

Funeral for Bonita K. Mooneyham Varela, 59, of Fairhope was Friday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Somerville with Pastor Ted Phillips officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery.
Mrs. Varela died Monday, May 1, 2006, in Pensacola, Fla. She was born Oct. 14, 1946, in Morgan County to Olen L. Mooneyham and Ida Kate York Mooneyham. Bonita was a very compassionate, loving person who was always willing to help everyone. Her father preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Joe A. Varela of Fairhope; her mother and stepfather, Ida Kate and Donald M. York; two brothers, Troy Mooneyham and wife Jeffery and Eddie Mooneyham and wife Pamela; two sisters, Donna Blaylock and husband Roger and Denise Thornton and husband Frank.
Pallbearers were Jerry Whisenant, Joe Saylor, Hugh Saylor, Russell Saylor, Alex Cannon and Nick Casiano.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
