Danny Ray Sims

Funeral for Danny Ray Sims, 50, of Decatur was Saturday, May 28, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Baskins officiating.
A military graveside service was held in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Sims died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at his residence. He was born Oct. 21, 1954, in Hartselle to Ralph Sims and Lucile Collins Sims.
Mr. Sims was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army. He spent his days doing for others to make them happy. His hobbies were fishing, camping, boating, scuba diving, bingo and attending auctions. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Sims.
He is survived by his wife, Kathie Sims of Decatur; two sons, Michael Sims and Anthony Sims, both of Decatur; his mother, Lucile Sims of Hartselle; and two sisters, Donna Bowers of Hartselle and Debbie Lee of Lakewood, Colo.
Pallbearers were Roy Coley, Burton Coley, Scott Collins, Del Ward, Ivan Self and Bobby Collins.
