Tigers get shutout wins over Athens, Russellville
The Tigers swept Athens by winning 7-0 and 4-0 to win the 6A Area 15 championship. The two victories pushed their area win streak to 34 games, dating back to 2022. Hartselle improves to 24-7 overall and 6-0 in area play.

Jace Meadows pitched six shutout innings to earn the win, giving up just two hits while striking out seven.
Cole Miles led the Tigers at the plate with two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Ty Marsh added a hit and two RBIs.

Connor Stiles pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win, allowing four hits while striking out three.
Miles again led the Tigers at the plate with two hits, including a homer, and two RBIs. Cruise Baker added a solo homer, while Keaton Lance finished with two hits, including a double and an RBI.
Hartselle 3, Russellville 0 Braden Weathers finished with a hit, two RBIs and a run scored to lead Hartselle past Russellville. Cole Griffin added a hit and an RBI, while Marsh and Baker each had a run scored.
Carter Lee pitched six scoreless innings, allowing three hits while striking out seven. Asher Doepel earned the save with a scoreless inning of relief, striking out two.

The Tigers will host Southside (20-10), the runner-up from Area 14. They will play two games on Friday at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and then play a third game on Saturday at noon if needed.
