Falkville Elementary announces kindergarten registration
Falkville Elementary School will hold kindergarten regis tration for incoming students April 18 and April 21. Registration will be open from 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. on April 18. On April 21, registration will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
Parents or guardians are asked to bring the child’s birth certificate, immunization form, current proof of residency, the child’s Social Security card (preferred but not required), a governmentissued ID for the guardian and any other relevant legal paperwork. Morgan County 4-H announces round up winners The Morgan County 4-H program has announced the winners of its recent Round Up competition, celebrating local youth achievements across a wide variety of events and categories.
In the Bake Off category, winners included Valentina Caceres in the Cloverbud division, Payton Witzel, Lucy Hulgan and Connor Maples in the Junior division, Maggie Smith and Audrey Johnson in the Intermediate division, and Kasalyn Johnson in the Senior 1 division. Ember Lee won first place in Junior Art of Container Gardening. In the World I Imagine category, winners were Indie Gooch and Ashlyn Giroux in the Junior division, and Justus Minnon in Intermediate. The World I See category recognized Sophie Montgomery, Ashlyn Giroux and Diana Walser in the Junior division, and Joshua Minnon in Senior 2. In the Extreme Birdhouse contest, Cloverbud winners included Reagan Bennett and June Dobbs, Garion Walser and David Walser. In the Junior division, winners were Hannah Smallwood, Reese Bennett, Desper Dobbs, and Lumina Yanez. Abigail Flowers took first place in Intermediate. For the Have I Got a Story category, Junior winners were Nola Lee, Gemma Hall and Stella Cullison, and Heather Prince. In Speak Up Alabama, Linley Higginbotham placed first in the Junior division.
Blocks Rock winners in the Cloverbud division included Reagan Bennett, Garion Walser and David Walser. In the Junior division, Lucas Feigenblatt, Emmett Butcher, Rafael Caceres and Reese Bennett placed, while Grant Glasscock won in Intermediate. Madelyn Livingston and Promise Freeman won Senior 1, and Joshua Minnon won Senior 2. The $15 Challenge saw Valentina Caceres place in Cloverbud, while Junior winners were Piper England, Eenie Reeves and Blakely Hooper. Rebecca Alice Morgan won Intermediate.
In Interior Design, Junior winners included Hannah Smallwood and DixieAnne Ward, and Colton Naylor placed first in Senior 1. In Freestyle Demonstration, Cloverbud winner was June Dobbs. Junior division winners included Piper England, Eenie Reeves, Nola Lee and Cora Kate Patterson. In Senior 1, Kate Glasscock and Mackenzie Speakman won first place.
Freestyle Showcase in Creative Arts featured Rafael Caceres, Sonny Pittman and Axel Freeman in the Junior division, Grant Glasscock in Intermediate, Katie Claire Butcher in Senior 1, and John Parker Warren and Alden Hurd in Senior 2. In Natural Resources, winners were Connor Stewart in Junior, Justus Minnon in Intermediate, and Rebekah Wallace in Senior 1.
In the Leadership and Community Service category, Mackenzie Speakman and Kate Glasscock earned first place in Senior 1. Desper Dobbs won first place in Junior Animal Science.
