Dorthy May South Hubbard

Decatur A graveside funeral service and interment for Dorthy May South Hubbard, 77, was held at Blue Springs Cemetery on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Ms. Hubbard died on Sunday, April 6, 2025. She was born April 15, 1947, in Morgan County, to Vernon King South and Vernie Maude Roden South. She was an avid gardener and was very active in various civic organizations. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by NASA as an accounting secretary. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were a son, Michael Hubbard; her parents; and a brother, David South. Survivors include her brother, Thomas South; two sisters, Edith Fuqua and Nell Gross; and five grandchildren, Zachary, Benjamin, Samuel, Grace, and Joy (Andy).
