Hartselle girls 54, Cold Springs 66

 

The Hartselle Tigers fell to the Cold Springs Eagles Wednesday during their opening match of the DHS Thanksgiving Classic.

Hartselle had a very slow first quarter only scoring five points. They picked up the pace, scoring 18 points in the second quarter, nine points in the third quarter and 22 points in the fourth.

Anna Mathis led the Tigers offensively with 11 points. Allie Roden had nine, Kayla Key had eight, Lindsay Berry had 6 and Madison Williams and Mary Jane Wooley had five apiece.

 

Hartselle girls 46, Lawrence County 44

 

Hartselle pulled out a buzzer beater to defeat Lawrence County in their second match of the DHS Thanksgiving Classic Wed., Nov. 26.

Hartselle held a tight lead throughout the game finishing the fist half on top 23-22.

The Tigers managed to finish strong with a tie-breaking layup from Anna Mathis with only six seconds left on the clock to pull Hartselle ahead.
