Danville and Priceville to miss the tournament

The Danville and Priceille volleyball teams will miss this year’s tournament due to recent COVID-19 positive tests that have affected their teams.

“We have confirmed cases of COVID-19 that affect volleyball. This will also affect students in class with COVID-positive cases. This will impact practice, regular-season games, area games, and tournament games,” Priceville High Principal Mark Mason told the Decatur Daily on Tuesday.

Danville High Principal Marty Chambers told the Daily “Due to positive COVID-19 tests, our volleyball team will be able to reconvene on Oct. 11 in time for the area tournament that we will be hosting on the 13th of October.”

Danville is the No. 2 ranked team in Class 3A while Priceville is ranked No. 5 in Class 4A.
