Funeral for Freeman F. Miller, 80, of Hartselle was Saturday, March 11, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Forman officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Miller died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Hartselle Medical Center He was born Jan. 23, 1926, in Morgan County to James Wesley Miller and Lettie Jane Harris Miller. He was a member of Deer Springs Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and served on the USS Honolulu. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by four brothers, Clifford, James, L.V. and Ruel Miller and three sisters, Mabel Miller, Ethel Drake and Dorothy Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Brindley Miller of Hartselle; a son, Terry Freeman Miller and wife Penny of Hartselle; three daughters, Brenda Dunford and husband Art of Hartselle, Judy Paskins and husband Bill of Michigan and Kathy Thrasher and husband Carl of Hartselle; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Kennedy, Tony Blackwood, Van Hudgins, Buddy Brindley, Pete Pettey and Billy Paskins.
Honorary pallbearers were friends and grandsons.
