Editor's note: The following letter was written in regards to the return of coach Bucky Pitts to Hartselle.
Another welcome back to Coach Pitts
Editor:
I was in the class of 1977 and I can honestly say we never entered a game I thought we could not win. The coach always had his team ready. I remember one win over Deshler who was 9-0 by the score of 7-6. They had a sign at the game that said, "undefeated season in sight." We brought that sign home that night and I'm sure the guys saw it and probably Coach, too. Maybe it was Athens…anyway the coach had his team and they would take advantage of your weakness.
Thanks coach…welcome back.

UA team needs some Hartselle players
Editor:
I recently enjoyed watching the College Ladies World Series of Softball, particularly the University of Alabama. When they were introducing the young ladies on the Alabama team my wife and I noticed that the majority of the players were not from in-state. This puzzled us both, particularly after reading the comments by Hartselle High School's Coach Alexander. I'm sure there are several outstanding players throughout the state of Alabama that would be most receptive to a scholarship to represent their state.
I also enjoyed the unique left-handed catches of the Alabama squad.
