Jenson, Harper to wed Dec. 18
Dr. and Mrs. Robert C. Jenson Jr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Christine Suzanne Jenson, to Derek Alan Harper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Harper of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Col., U.S. Air Force, retired and Mrs. Louis Smith of Sacramento, Calif. and Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Jenson Sr. of Byron. The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Troy B. Harper of Birmingham and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carroll of Hartselle.
The couple met while both were attending The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where the groom-elect received a bachelor's degree in business marketing. He is employed as area field sales consultant for Sullivan-Schein Dental.
The bride-elect will receive a bachelor's degree in nursing in May from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and will be employed in Birmingham.
The wedding is planned for Dec. 18 at the First Methodist Church in Hartselle. The couple expect the construction of their new home in Birmingham to be completed on their return from a honeymoon on the Mayan Riviera.
