Pamelia Jo Brammer
Hartselle
A private family graveside service for Pamelia Jo Brammer, 72, will be held in Piney Grove Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Brammer died March 29 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 7, 1949, in Cullman County to Howard Mardis and Christine Newman Mardis. She was a member of the Piney Grove Church and lived a wonderful life as a loving, caring person. She was employed by Wayne Fuller, attorney at law, as a paralegal prior to her retirement.  

Preceding her in death were her husband, Donald Ray Brammer, and her parents.
Survivors include a son, Jason Mardis Brammer, Hartselle; brother, Mike Mardis, Gulf Breeze, Fla.; four grandchildren; niece, Mica Mardis; and numerous other extended family members and friends she loved.
 

Gary S. Wallace 

Hartselle 

Gary Wallace, 64, of Hartselle, passed away Jan. 8 in Baldwin County. He was born in Morgan County Aug. 14, 1957, to Alton C. and Ruby Faye Curtis Wallace. 

He was employed by and retired from Decatur General Hospital, where he worked for more than 20 years. He was the owner of Contemporary Covered Wagon, which he opened more than seven years ago, repairing RVs.  

He loved woodworking. He enjoyed music, friends and family – especially if he could combine them with a trip to the beach.  

Gary passed away early morning after seeing one of the most beautiful sunsets, capturing it and posting it on his Facebook page. He was happy and at peace. 

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Wallace; son, James Barbre (Sarah); daughters, April Jones (Frank) and Sandra Brown; brother, Fred Wallace (Amy); nephew, Grant; eight grandchildren; and two great–grandchildren. 

Preceding him in death were his parents, daughter Dawn Hudson and former wife Lena Wallace. 

A memorial service was held by his family at Forest Chapel Methodist Church April 3 at 3:30 p.m., with Pastor Greg Cain officiating. Interment followed in the Forest Chapel Methodist Cemetery. 

Pruitt Livingston
Hartselle

Mr. Pruitt Livingston passed away at Decatur Morgan Hospital March 31.  

He was born in September 1955 to Bennett Livingston and Alice Holladay Livingston in Morgan County. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved sister, Cathy Livingston.
He was a graduate of Danville High School class of 1973. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He spent most of his life farming in the Danville community.  

Pruitt always had a smile on his face and had a gentle spirit.  

There was a graveside service at Johnson Chapel Cemetery April 3 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Pruitt’s name to the Johnson Chapel Cemetery Fund at 1260 North Johnson Chapel Road, Danville, AL 35619, or charity of your choice. As for safety for family and friends, the family asked everyone to please wear masks at the service.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Lewis, Kevin Long, Henry Gilbert, Gary Bell, Kurt Randolph and Jerry Randolph. Honorary pallbearers were Waymon Holladay, Bud Burchell and Donnie Livingston. The Rev. Jack Bailey officiated.
 

Jewel Curtis Osborne Hughes “Mama Jewel”
Somerville
Funeral service for Jewel Curtis Osborne Hughes, “Mama Jewel,” 95, was held April 5 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Campbell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Forrest Chapel Cemetery. 
Mrs. Hughes died March 31 at her residence. She was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Lawrence County to Stephen Johnathan Curtis and Mina Bolan Curtis.  

She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian, living her testimony of her faith. She was retired from Maison Morgan after 30 years of employment in the alterations department. She was affectionately known as “Mama Jewel” to everyone. 

Preceding her in death were her two husbands, Leon Osborn and John Hughes; her parents; a son, Eddie Osborne; two sisters, Edith Osborne and Ruby Faye Wallace; and a great–grandchild, Aleigha Thomson. 

Survivors include son, Jimmy Osborne (Pat); daughters, Bettie Stephenson and Bonita “Bonnie” Holmes (Lyle); brother, Amon Curtis (Maxine); 12 grandchildren; 20 great–grandchildren; and six great–great–grandchildren.
Isaiah Osborne, Jason Osborne, Brian Sloas, Patrick Holmes, Braden Foy and Donovan Jones served as pallbearers. 

Arthenia Turner 

Somerville 

Arthenia Turner, 83, passed away on Good Friday, April 2, at her home in Somerville. In the days preceding her death, she was surrounded by family and friends. 

Arthenia was born Dec. 18, 1937, in Morgan County, the oldest of five sisters and two foster brothers. She spent her life in service to others, sharing her love and faith across the globe. 

Arthenia was a lifelong learner. After she graduated from Priceville High School in 1956, she attended Carraway Nursing School to become a registered nurse. After training with the Church of God in Anderson, Ind., she entered the mission field and served as a registered nurse in Kenya, East Africa, for five years.  

Upon return from Kenya, Arthenia attended the University of Alabama to earn her certification as a nurse anesthetist. As a nurse anesthetist, she served an additional five years in Kenya in support of the Mission’s medical outreach.  

Following her mission work, she joined Decatur General Hospital, where she retired after more than 40 years of service.  

Arthenia was a lifelong member of the Somerville Church of God and was active in the local and state chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She left a legacy through her work and was an example of God’s amazing love and grace to all who knew her. 

Arthenia was preceded in death by her parents, Lannie Odell Turner and Ethel Mae Davis Turner; her grandparents, Gen. Dewey Davis and Zoney Brown Davis and Oscar Lee Turner and Lula Mae Holloway Turner; and her brother, Paul Blagburn.  

Arthenia is survived by sisters Dr. Josephine Turner, Ludell Hopkins, Linda Sharp and husband Don and Anetia Koch and husband Michael and her brother, Kenneth Blagburn and wife Vicki. 

 The funeral service was at 2 p.m. April 6 at the Somerville Church of God at 3151 Highway 67 S., Somerville, with the Rev. Pearl Jenkins and the Rev. F. Michael Gunter officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery, with Peck Funeral Home directing. 

Ricky Wilson, Ivan Halbrooks, David Turner, Travis Taylor, Darrell Allen, LaShasta Coffman, Lorne Graves and Josiah Graves served as pallbearers. 

As an alternative to flowers, the family has designated the “Children of Promise,” in care of Somerville Church of God, for memorial contributions. 

Eara Virginia Williams 

Valhermoso Springs 

Funeral service for Eara Virginia Williams, 88, of Valhermoso Springs was held April 6 at 2 p.m. at the Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church with Brother Tim Patrick and Brother Rusty Wilkerson officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Peck Funeral Home directed.  

Mrs. Williams, who was born April 24, 1932, in Morgan County to Temon Brown and Clara Morgan Brown, died April 2 at her home. She was a veterinarian assistant until her retirement. She received the Holy Ghost May 16, 1988. She was married to her husband Frank for 62 years April 3; they lived in Mulino, Ore., from 1962–2006, when they moved back to Valhermoso Springs, where she lived and attended Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church.  

She was preceded in death by a son, Carlos Williams, three brothers and five sisters.  

She is survived by her husband, Frank LeRoy Williams; three daughters, Judy Hilliard (Randall) of Lacey’s Spring, Sandra Courtney (Patrick) of Beaver Creek, Ore., and Virginia Williams of Hammon, Wash.; a daughter-in-law, Cathey Williams; one brother, Hoyt Brown; three sisters, Joyce Goodner, Josephine Summers and Janice Patterson; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great–grandchildren.  

Eddie Langley, Tyrone Goodner, Jason Howard, Adam Alexander, Temon Haynes and Kirk Brown served as pallbearers.
