Murphy, Childers to wed April 12
Don and Peggy Murphy of Lacey's Spring announce the engagement of their daughter, Leigh Anna Murphy, to John Ganes Childers, son of Mickey and Judy Childers of Somerville.
The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Brewer High School and a 2001 graduate of Athens State University. She is employed as a physical education teacher and cheerleading coach at Cotaco Junior High School. She is the granddaughter of William Robert and Annie Murphy of Somerville and the late Milford and Faye Rolfe Willis of Somerville.
The groom-elect is a 1996 graduate of Brewer High School and attended Wallace State Community College and A&M University. He is self-employed with Burden-Childers Farms. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Childers of Eva and Mr. and Mrs. Ganes Burden of Somerville.
The wedding will be held April 12 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Somerville.
Patterson, Wiseheart to wed
Mr. and Mrs. G. Brian Patterson of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Nicole Patterson, to Nathaniel Austin Wiseheart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Wiseheart of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Athens High School and is currently attending Calhoun Community College. She is employed as a teller at Compass Bank in Athens. She is the granddaughter of Mr. George Patterson and the late Rachel Patterson of Athens, Mrs. Velma Barker of Pensacola, Fla., and the late Herbert Barker of Athens.
The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Hartselle High School. He is employed as a termite technician at Cook's Pest Control. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William "Bill" Prince of Decatur and Mr. and Mrs. George Wiseheart of Priceville.
The wedding will be held June 14 at Friendship United Methodist Church in Athens.
