Pauline Grantland Sims

Funeral for Pauline Grantland Sims, 91, of Priceville was Monday, October 11, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. J.P. Jenkins and Michael Gunter officiating.
Burial was in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mrs. Sims died Friday, October 8, 2010, at her residence. She was born August 3, 1919, to James Edgar Grantland and Florence Eunice Blevins Grantland. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ross Leon Sims; four brothers, Atley, Odis, Roy and Percy Grantland; and three sisters, Marceil Turner Crane, Marie Howard Hitt and Janell Grantland.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Sims Berry and husband Danny of Texas and Charlotte Sims Blankenship and husband Joe of Priceville; and a grandchild, Elizabeth Haynie and husband Kenneth of Nashville, Tenn.
Pallbearers were Norman Fuqua, Charles Teague, Ted Grantland, Donnie Grantland, Chris Mooneyham, Jimmie Turner and Jackie Grantland.
Special thanks to the Fuqua family and all neighbors and to Hospice of North Alabama caregivers, Chasity, Faye and Laura.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a favorite charity.
