    Weddings and engagements

    Bryan, Boger exchange vows
    Lori Beth Bryan and Jonathan Thomas Boger of Falkville were wed Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Falkville with the Rev. Danny Pitts officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Judy Schueler of Falkville and Kevin and Becky Bryan of Eva.
    The groom is the son of Mickey and Renata Boger of Falkville.
    The church was decorated with white Roman columns and ferns.
    The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a semi-cathedral length, white, strapless dress that tied down the back, designed by Bonnie.
    Her veil was single layer and accented with pearls. The bride's bouquet featured white silk roses.
    Katie Patrick Lewis of Marietta, Ga. was matron of honor.
    Bridal attendants were Lacey Peeples of Montevallo, Kisha Kelsey of Bethel, Ohio, Catherine Hall of Opelika, Valerie Lacey of Falkville, and Mandi Lacey of Hartselle. They wore black, tea length dresses with satin ribbons tied at the waist, designed by Bill Levkoff.
    They carried bouquets of white silk roses.
    Juliann Parrott and Haley Parrott of Vinemont, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. Blake Boger of Falkville, brother of the groom, Gavin Parrott and Nick Parrott of Vinemont, cousins of the bride, were ring bearers.
    The groom's father was best man.
    Groomsmen were Shannon Boger of Elkmont, brother of the groom, Jeff Mason, Bob Evans and Charlie Gandy, all of Falkville, and Zach Parrott of Vinemont, cousin of the bride.
    Music was provided by soloist Catherine Hall of Opelika, soloist and pianist Stephanie Pitts of Hartselle, key boardist Pam Blevins of Falkville, and violinist Hannah Blevins of Falkville.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
    The bride's table featured a two-layered white cake topped with flowers and a bride and groom, with a fountain feature below.
    The groom's table featured a hunting theme and a chocolate cake topped with fruit.
    Kay Bigelow was wedding director. Dean Nelson, Laura Hughes and Marla Reynolds assisted with the reception.
    Linda Bryan, aunt of the bride, attended the bride's book.
    The couple honeymooned on an Alaskan cruise.
    They will reside in Athens.
    A rehearsal party hosted by the groom's parents was held at The Red House Grill.
    Woodruff, Langston exchange vows
    Carrie Lee Woodruff of Hartselle and Samuel Heath Langston of Dora were wed Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 2 p.m. at New Temple Baptist Church in Dora with the Rev. Wayne Shelton officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Russell Woodruff and Laura Jo Lindsey of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Cheryl and Kevin Langston of Dora.
    The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an A-line gown with beading of pearls and silver. The gown formed a V in the back and fell into a long train with similar beading.
    Her short veil featured sewn pearls and was held by a rhinestone butterfly headpiece.
    The bride's bouquet featured pink and white calla lilies, taken from her grandmother Mary Woodruff's yard in Hartselle, tied with a white ribbon.
    Bridal attendants were Jessica and Chelsea Woodruff of Hartselle, Whitney King and Emily Parker of Russellville, Alyssa Barnett of Montgomery, Ashley Floyd of Hartselle, and Emily Smith of Clanton. They wore black, strapless A-line dresses with white sashes that tied in a bow and dropped to the floor. They carried bouquets of pink hydrangeas and white roses.
    Audrey Anne Woodruff of Eva was flower girl. John Thomas Woodruff of Eva was ring bearer.
    Groomsmen were Dennis Smith and Zack Woodruff of Hartselle, Chad Montoya of Birmingham, Shane Perkins of Sumiton, Jason Allums of Dora, Austin Barnett of Montgomery, and Daniel Langston of Dora.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
    The bride and groom share a table featuring a chocolate and vanilla cake with white and chocolate polka dots featuring the couple's initials decorated with flowers.
    The table also featured a chocolate fountain.
    Friends, family and members of the church assisted with the reception.
    Live butterflies were released as the couple left the church.
    The couple honeymooned in Sand Key Island, Fla. They reside in Dora.
    A rehearsal party hosted by the groom's parents was held June 4 at New Temple Baptist Church.

    McConnell, Blankenship to wed
    John and Cyndi Wydner of Danville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli Dianne McConnell, to Benjamin Ross Blankenship, son of Bobby Blankenship of Decatur and Karla Gibson of Lawrenceville, Ga.
    The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Danville High School and a 2001 graduate of The University of Alabama College of Human Environmental Sciences. She is employed by Gap Inc. of Decatur.
    She is the granddaughter of Billy and Roxie Cagle of Danville, Pat McConnell of Decatur, and Louis and Veolene McConnell of Decatur.
    The groom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Montevallo. He is employed by Encore Rehabilitation. He is the grandson of Johnnie Ruth Blankenship of Decatur, the late Charles T. Blankenship, and Carl and Elaine Winton of Hartselle.
    The wedding will be held Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. at Danville Baptist Church.
    Green, Isbell to wed Aug. 28
    Troy and Debbie Green of Somerville announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth Green, to Steven Ryan Isbell, son of Beckey and Ron Worthey of Hartselle and Jimmy and Norma Isbell of Montevallo.
    The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Hartselle High School. She is employed with Summerford Nursing Home as a CNA. She is the granddaughter of Ceil and Agnes Allen of Hartselle and Rene Alexander of Decatur.
    The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Hartselle High School where he was a member of the football team. He is employed with Wittichen Supply. He is the grandson of Jeanette Isbell of Birmingham.
    The wedding will be held Aug. 28 at Hartselle Wedding Chapel.
    Bidwell, Nelson to wed Sept. 18
    Victor and Wanda Bidwell of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Victoria Ann Bidwell, to James Burt Nelson IV, son of James Burt Nelson III and Linda Pierce, both of Athens.
    The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2003 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's of science degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse for Children's Hospital at North Alabama Children's Specialist.
    She is the granddaughter of Victoria Bidwell of Honesdale, Pa., the late George Bidwell, and the late Milton and Ella Stranahan of Narrowsburg, N.Y.
    The groom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Athens High School and a 2001 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's of science degree in wildlife science. He is employed as a pollution control specialist with the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.
    He is the grandson of James Burt Nelson II and Floria Nelson of Athens, Hazel Pierce of Athens and the late Louis Pierce.
    The wedding will be held Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Decatur.
