New Jersey couple arrested here

A New Jersey pair found themselves behind bars last week after Hartselle Police said they attempted to pass counterfeit travelers checks at Wal-Mart.
Stevie Delar, 28, of Newark, NJ, and Aisa Rollins, 23, of Camden, NJ, both face charges of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree.
Investigators were alerted by store officials that a woman was at the store attempting to use American Express Travelers checks that they believed to be counterfeit. She left the store and Hartselle Police found a woman and a man sitting in a car in the parking lot.
The woman, later identified as Rollins, said the checks were destroyed because they were not valid. The pair gave consent to have the vehicle searched and officers found 62 $100 American Express Travelers Checks and $2,655 in cash. Video cameras purchased at Wal-Marts in Huntsville and Franklin, Tenn. were also found.
Police said they believe the pair was using the counterfeit checks to purchase items at stores and then returning them at different stores for cash.
The pair was taken to Hartselle City Jail on $75,000 bond each.
