Sounding off on ADEM fine
“ADEM good job done! Hartselle broke the law, same as speeders or traffic law breakers get fined. They deserve to be fined too.”

Thanks offered to some downtown merchants
“I would like to thank several of the merchants downtown (I don’t feel it is necessary to mention the store names, you can see who they are) who show their pride in Hartselle by keeping their store fronts attractive and appealing: especially Slate and Sons Framing. Their window is always well decorated. Thanks also to The Dowry Chest for creating a very nice window/store front out of that building. Finally, some merchants get the idea what brings customers in.”

SNAP is a great thing
“Everyone who continues to work on our Special Needs Accessible Playground is to be commended. I think the Splash Pad is going to open in the next few weeks. What a wonderful thing for all the kids in our area. We have our problems here in Hartselle, but some times we get it right!”

“(The SNAP playground) is a tremendous venue of fun, especially for those children who are challenged by various maladies. May they enjoy the fun that others take for granted. Thanks also to this person for finding something positive about which to post. It is a refreshing change from the norm. Warts and all, Hartselle is a great community for those who have any vision and a willingness to look.

Tree removal from Highway 31
“Well, I remember folks helped pay for the trees, which a person had a particular tree In memory of a loved one. It seems like another project bites the dust again. Leaders do not think before they do things, it seems. Think before you jump!”

More on downtown
“When are the city leaders going to stop spending money on useless things? That money and the money used for outcrops planters on Main Street could be put to a lot better use. They need to use it on getting the downtown area out of the flood area but that would do to much good for the city so that’s out. That’s the reason along with others that the voters voted the way they did.”
