Emily Shirley Lockhart

Funeral for Emily Shirley Lockhart, 80, of Hartselle was Tue., June 8, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brad Eades of Hospice of the Valley officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Lockhart died Sat., June 5, 2010, at Riverside Senior Living Center in Decatur. She was born July 29, 1929, in North Carolina to Bernice Walker and Goldie Lee Walker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Lockhart of Hartselle; two daughters, Dena Lockhart Jackson and husband Charles of Sarasota, Fla. and Rita Lockhart of Hartselle; two grandsons, Blake Penn and wife Paulette and Shannon Penn, all of Atlanta, Ga.; a granddaughter, Caitlin Couey of Hartselle; two sisters, Melba Fox and Margaret Williams, both of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Blake Penn, Shannon Penn, Fred Godsey, Todd Combs, Cooper Wigginton and Bill Bibb.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley and the staff of Riverside Senior Living Center for the compassionate and loving care afforded Mrs. Lockhart during her time spent there.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
