Funeral for Cecil Reeves, 86, of Eva was Sunday, May 30, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel in Hartselle.
Burial was in Childers Cemetery.
Mr. Reeves died Thurs., May 27, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born May 14, 1924, in Morgan County to Jack Reeves and Amanda Hudgins Reeves.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lynn Reeves.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Reeves of Decatur; a son, Joel David Reeves and wife Tina of Eva; a daughter, Barbara Reeves Pressnell and husband Charles of Decatur; a sister, Rita Vinson and husband Jerry of Arley; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Nephews were pallbearers.
