Priceville Week 8 game notes

Priceville (2-5, 0-4) at West Limestone (3-4, 1-3)

Series: Tied 2-2

Last meeting: West Limestone won 70-20 in 2011

Defense struggles again: The Bulldog defense has struggled all season long against 4A competition, but the last two weeks have been especially tough. They have featured AHSAA Week 7 Prep Spotlight winner Tannery Ivey and ASWA Week 6 Player of the Week Terrence Deloney. Ivey threw for nearly 500 yards against the Bulldogs and Deloney had 416 yards of total offense. Thankfully, the Bulldogs will not have to see those two again this season.

Offense still strong: Priceville has been able to score on everyone they’ve played this year, averaging more than 28 points per game and nearly 30 points per game in region play.

Another barn burner possible: Of the four common opponents West Limestone and Priceville have played, the Wildcats are averaging 19.7 points per game, including scoring 37 on East Lawrence last week. Priceville has scored 27.25 points per game against the same four opponents, but they have allowed 45 point per game. West Limestone gave up more than 35 points per game in those four games. The offense that can take advantage of this situation will come out on top.
