Joy Paula Tapscott Tomlinson

Funeral for Joy Paula Tapscott Tomlinson, 41, of Decatur was Sun., Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Clyde Ledlow officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Ms. Tomlinson died Fri., Sept. 28, 2012, at Decatur Morgan Parkway Hospital.

She was born Jan. 2, 1971, in Madison County to Paul Freeman Tapscott and Betty Sue Clines Tapscott. She was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by two sons, Justin Tomlinson and Christian Tomlinson, both of Danville; her parents, Paul Tapscott and wife Brenda of Decatur; her fiancé, Danny Butts of Danville; five sisters, Jackie Eubanks and husband Greg of Neel, Melody Alexander and husband Michael of Florida, Valerie Scroggins and husband Mike of Prattville, Regina Livingston and husband Andy of Decatur and Jennifer Harding and husband Pete of Trinity; a brother, Chris Alexander and wife Terry of Moulton; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and good friends Daina Horton and Stacey Stephens, both of Hartselle.

Pallbearers were Justin Tomlinson, Christian Tomlinson, Jay Tomlinson, Mike Scroggins, Chris Alexander, Hunter Livingston, Trevor Stainge, Thomas Tanner, Toby Clines and Heath Hogan.
