John H. Casteele

Funeral for John H. Casteele, 79, will be Wed., Aug. 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Roger Brown and Bro. John Lowman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tues., Aug. 28, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Casteele died on Sun., Aug. 26, 2012, at his residence. He was born Tues., Jan. 3, 1933, in Lawrence County to Rossie L. Johnson Jerry . Mr. Casteele was retired from Matthew Machine Shop after 33 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. He was the beloved father of five children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Casteele, Hartselle; three sons, Gary Casteele and wife Trena of Athens, Tim Casteele and wife Pam of Decatur and Perry Casteele and wife Donna of Hartselle; two daughters: Deborah Hall and husband Doug of Hartselle and Delores Tittle of Decatur; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
