The Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce and the Hartselle for Tomorrow Foundation will host the 2025 IMPACT Youth Leadership Program graduation May 13, from 6-7 p.m. at The Venue in downtown Hartselle, located at 315 Main St. W.

The event will celebrate months of leadership development, service, and personal growth by students from across Morgan County, according to a press release from the HACC. The program includes participants from Hartselle, Danville, Somerville, Decatur and Falkville.

“This is a celebration of passion, growth, and action,” HACC president Jasmine Sanderfer said. “These students are proof that the future is bright—join us in celebrating their journey.”

Greg Screws, a news anchor with WHNT News 19, will deliver the keynote address. Known for his engaging style, Screws is expected to share insights on leadership and perseverance.

Throughout the year, IMPACT students have participated in leadership workshops with EmotiQuest LLC, visited Athens State University, met with elected officials and learned to navigate challenges with help from the Rocket City Trash Pandas. Their efforts culminate in the presentation of group community projects focused on issues such as recycling and student mental health.

“These students are exceptionally bright, and I couldn’t be prouder of the IMPACT they’re already making in our community,” Chris Spicer, community engagement manager at the Chamber, said. “Their initiatives are a true reflection of the collective potential of Morgan County’s next generation of leaders.”

Special recognition will be given to chamber board member Rocky Smith for his mentorship and dedication to the program.

Tickets are $15, with proceeds benefiting ongoing youth development efforts through the IMPACT Program. Sponsorships are still available.

The event is open to the public. For tickets or more information, contact Spicer at chris@hartsellechamber.com or (256) 773-4370.
