Danville, Priceville, Falkville advance to softball regionals

Priceville, Danville and Falkville each advanced to the Northwest regional in Florence after finishing runner-up in their respective area tournaments.

Priceville advanced by defeating Brewer before falling to Ardmore in the tournament finals. Danville fell to Good Hope, while Falkville dropped their final to Decatur Heritage.

Priceville 6, Brewer 4

Priceville scored two runs in the final inning to break a 4-4 tie and defeat Brewer 6-4.

Kelsey Green finished with three hits and four RBIs to lead Priceville. Taylor Pellam finished with two hits and two RBIs to lead Brewer.

Priceville 6, East Limestone 3

Darby Thigpen finished with two hits and three RBIs to lead Priceville .

Elizabeth Murphy earned the win, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out 10.

Brewer 17, East Limestone 13

Taylor Pellam finished with five hits, two RBIs and three runs scored to lead Brewer to a 13-inning win over East Limestone. Abby Summerford had two hits, including a home run and four RBIs.

Ardmore 9, Brewer 8 Breia Rusk finished with two hits and three RBIs to lead Brewer.

Decatur Heritage 4, Falkville 0

Hope McClanahan, Hannah Summerford and Pey-ton Holloway each had a hit for Falkville in the loss to Decatur Heritage.

Falkville 17, Tanner 2 Lily Slayton, Kasey Foote and Cierra Williams each had two hits and three RBIs for the Lady Blue Devils.

Falkville 14, Tanner 0 McClanahan finished with three doubles and three RBIs to lead Falkville. Foote picked up the win, after allowing two hits while striking out 12. She added two hits and three RBIs.

Danville 6, West Morgan 2

Ellie Tucker finished with a hit and three RBIs to lead Danville past West Morgan. Kirsten Robinson added two hits while scoring two runs.

Good Hope 14, Danville 7

Robinson finished with two hits and three RBIs in Danville’s loss to Good Hope.
