Diann Helms

Hartselle Mrs. Diann Helms, 78, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born September 7, 1946, in Morgan County, to Edgar Eugene Foster and Willie Mae Spain Foster. She was a retired seamstress working for Nina Bayless prior to her passing. Diann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived for her family. She was a great cook and loved serving others; she loved to laugh; and her home was one where you were always welcomed to sit down and have something delicious and heartwarming. Diann enjoyed fishing with her family and taught her children and grandchildren to enjoy fishing as well. She was surrounded by her family when she left this world and was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Preceding her in death were her husband, Dewey Helms; her parents; and a brother, Tommy Foster. Survivors include her daughters, Mylynda Smith, and Robyn Helms; brother, Willie Foster (Staci ); sister, Elizabeth Willingham; and nine grandchildren. A memorial service was held by her family at Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama on Saturday April 19th, at 11:00 AM.
