Brewer falls in finals of Morgan County Tournament

The Lady Patriots dropped a close one to Austin, falling 9-8 in the Morgan County Tournament championship game.

Gracie Lawrence led Brewer with two hits and three RBIs. Breia Rusk and AB Anton each had two hits in the championship.

Brewer 11, West Morgan 0 Karli Staton threw a complete-game no-hitter to earn the win. Cadence Lott finished with two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs.

Brewer 7, Danville 4

Rusk finished with two hits and two RBIs to lead Brewer. Cheyenne Lucas added two hits and scored three runs.

Tamara Hutto led Danville with three hits and two RBIs.

Austin 7, Danville 4

Hutto led Danville with two hits and an RBI, while Ellie Tucker had a hit and two RBIs.

Brewer 10, Priceville 3 Lucas finished with four hits, including a homerun, four RBIs and three runs scored. Taylor Pellam added a hit and two RBIs.

Kelsey Green led Priceville with two hits, while Lucy Warren added a hit and two RBIs.

Austin 4, Priceville 1

Bailey Smyth finished with two hits to lead Priceville.

Danville 4, Brewer 3

Hutto had two hits, includ-ing a home run, and an RB to lead Danville. Isabella Guest added two hits.

Lucas led Brewer with three hits, an RBI and two runs scored.

Falkville 5, Decatur 4

Lily Slayton hit a three-run home run to lead Falkville, while Hannah Summerford added three hits and two RBIs.

Brewer 13, Falkville 0

Pellam finished with three hits, four RBIs and three runs to lead Brewer. LC Hamilton added two hits and three RBIs.

Summerford led Falkville with two hits.

Danville 17, Decatur 1

Kirsten Robinson finished with three hits, three RBIs and three runs scored to lead Danville. Aubrey Reed added two hits and three RBIs.

On Friday Brewer 10, Austin 7

Lawrence finished with two hits, including a homerun, and four RBIs to lead Brewer. Rusk added a homer and three RBIs, while Pellam had three hits and one RBI.

West Morgan 7, Priceville 1 Smyth and Green each had a hit for Priceville.

West Morgan 7, Falkville 0 Slayton and Peyton Holloway each had a double for Falkville.

Priceville 9, Falkville 0 Green finished 2-of-2 with a double and three RBIs to lead Priceville. Smyth homered and had three RBIs. Elizabeth Murphy pitched six shutout innings to earn the win, striking out five.

Summerford and Slayton each had two hits for Falkville.

Danville 4, Brewer 1

Tucker finished with two hits and an RBI to lead Danville. Guest added two hits, including a double, while Reed, Jada Weaver and Hutto each added a hit and an RBI.

Anton finished with two hits and an RBI for Brewer.

Danville 11, Decatur 1

Reed homered and drove in four runs to lead Danville. Tucker added a home run and three RBIs, while Weaver added two hits and two RBIs. Guest picked up the win, striking out five.
