Pitching leads Tigers to five wins at Bucs Classic

Will Sharp was dominant on the mound for Hartselle on Friday, allowing just three hits and one walk over five shutout innings as the Tigers picked up a 10-0 win over St. Edward (Ohio) at the Hoover Buc Classic.
Sharp finished with five strikeouts for Hartselle, throwing 41 of 63 pitches for strikes. He faced just 19 batters.
Witt Crisler doubled and drove in a pair of runs for the Tigers, while Lachlan Kennedy and Keaton Lance added a single and one RBI each. Eli King, Cain Falciani, Ty Marsh and Cole Miles had one RBI each.
Hartselle 6, Smiths Station 0
The Tigers scored two runs in the fourth and fifth to break open a 0-0 game. Hartselle pitching was dominant throughout, throwing their second consecutive shutout.
Witt Crisler finished with two hits and two RBIs, Easton Nelms and Marsh each had two hits and an RBI. Brayden Weathers added two hits.
Lee pitched a complete game, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out two.
Hartselle 4, Clarksville Tenn. 2
Hartselle came from two runs down to defeat Clarksville (Tenn.) 4-2.
Baker had the big blow with a three-run home run. Doepel scored the Tigers’ final run in the sixth inning.
Conner Stiles earned the win after pitching 6.1 innings, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out three. Nelms picked up the save with a scoreless .2 innings.
Hartselle 10, St. Edward Ohio 0
The Tigers scored four runs in the first inning and cruised to a 10-0 win over St. Edward Ohio.

Hartselle 2, Auburn 1
The Tigers scored a walk off run in the bottom of the seventh to defeat 7A Auburn in the final game of the Buccaneer Classic in Hoover.
Doepel earned the win after pitching a complete game, while allowing one run on two hits with nine strikeouts.
Doepel helped his cause by finishing 2-for-2 with a run scored, while Falciani had a hit. Miles walked twice and scored a run.
