Hartselle A funeral service for Gerald Ray McAbee, 72, was held Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Chenault officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Mr. McAbee died on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at his residence. He was born on April 22, 1952, in Morgan County, to Raymond C. McAbee and Revean Ledlow McAbee. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Golden Flake as a route salesman. He was a good husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Renae Mayfield. Survivors include his wife, Reginia Makemson McAbee; his son, Jeremy McAbee (Leslie); daughter, Christina Moore (Daniel); brother, Tony McAbee (Glyndia); sister, Vickie Lewis (Steve); and three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Moore, Barrett McAbee and Millie McAbee. Pallbearers will be Tracy McAbee, Austin Fulaytar, Brian McCollum, Joe Roberson, Trent Reynolds, and Ethan McAbee. Barrett McAbee was an honorary pallbearer.
