Police: Woman charged with felony after high-speed I-65 chase

A Madison woman drove at speeds over 100 mph on Interstate 65 while being pursued by Priceville police Sunday, according to a police affidavit, and was charged with felony attempt to elude.

Ana Cecila Crubaugh, 19, was released from the Morgan County Jail on Wednesday after posting a $5,000 bond, according to court records.

According to the affidavit, Crubaugh was driving a silver Mazda and “failed to stop, passed vehicles recklessly, and was later found to be on the phone with dispatch while refusing to pull over.”

The southbound chase lasted several miles before Crubaugh stopped near the Hartselle exit, police said.
