Hop into Easter fun with local egg hunts

Spring is in the air, and local communities are gearing up for a fun-filled Easter weekend with exciting egg hunts and family-friendly festivities. For families looking for a way to celebrate, several events are scheduled for April 12.
Easter Egg Hunt at Veterans Park
The Easter Bunny is making a special stop at Veterans Park to help hide 4,000 candy-filled eggs, including 400 prize eggs. The hunt will begin 2 p.m., with separate areas designated for different age groups:
- 0-2 years old – Veterans Memorial site (parents may assist)
- 3-4 years old – Small ball field
- 5-7 years old – Large ball field
- 8-10 years old – Right side of the hunting area behind the small field
(Please note: Age group locations may be subject to change.)
After the hunt, children can take photos with the Easter Bunny. In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for April 19 at 2 p.m.
Eggstravaganza at Sparkman Soccer Complex
Hartselle Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Daystar Church, will host an exciting Eggstravaganza at Sparkman Soccer Complex , located at 621 Groover Road SW, Hartselle on April 12 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and will feature food, games, and vendors. The highlight of the day, an egg hunt, will take place from 11 a.m. until noon. For more details, contact Michelle Allmon at 256-773-2591.
EggFest in Falkville
The town of Falkville invites families to EggFest, an afternoon of free Easter fun at South Park, located at 1082 Culver Rd., Falkville. The event kicks off at 2 p.m. and includes an egg hunt, food, drinks and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
