Decatur A graveside funeral service and interment for Duke Riley, 64, was held Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Moss Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Todd officiating. Mr. Riley died on T h u rs d ay, M a rc h 6, 2025, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born November 2, 1960, in Morgan County, to Chalmers G. Riley and Carolyn Moss Riley Ward. He went to Decatur High School and was employed by Steelcase as a production worker prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his father, Chalmers Riley, and his brother, Rick Moss Riley. Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Moss Ward; daughter, Meleah Riley; sister, Cathy Riley Sengstacke (Nick); and nieces. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Moss Chapel UMC , or to the Embrace Children’s Home @ 898 Arkadelphia Road, Birmingham. AL 35204.
