Decatur A funeral service for Mary Jenkins Talley, 79, was held Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dylan Troncoso officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Talley died on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born May 14, 1945, in Walker County, to Berry Jenkins and Christine Daniels Jenkins. She was a homemaker for her family; she loved her husband Nelson dearly and was a good mother. She loved Alabama football and Jeff Gordon. Preceding her in death were her husband, Nelson Talley; her parents; two sisters, Nina Harlow and Diane Browning; a brother, Gary Jenkins; and a daughterin-law, Beverly Talley. Survivors include sons, Keith Talley, Josh Harlow (Patty) and Christopher Harlow (Cassie); daughters, Kathy Roe (Mark), Connie Stauddy (Scott) and Heather Rainwater (Kenny); brothers, Jerry Jenkins, Sr., Don Jenkins and Steve Jenkins; grandchildren, Emily Roe, Elizabeth Roe, Kipper Stauddy, John Stauddy, Beth Stauddy, Rene Stauddy, Jordan Talley, Lexie Bivens, Madison Rainwater, and Austin Talley; great grandchildren, Addison Woodfin, Jersi Greer, Jett Greer, Shiloh Downs, Willow Wray, Cooper Rainwater, Maverick Rainwater, and Scarlett Talley.
