Mr. Gerald L Bourrell, 83, of Hartselle, passed away on March 2, 2025 at Floyd E. “Tutt” Fann Veterans’ Home. He was a former resident of Laurel, Mr. Bourrell retired from Howard Industry as a truck driver and had driven for several companies over the years. He was born Sept. 17, 1941 in Kankakee, Illinois, to Fred Bourrell and Leona Spence Bourrell. He married Marylou Surprenant on Jan. 27, 1968. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marylou, his brothers, Larry Bourrell and Jim Bourrell; his parents, and his daughter, Rosanne Smith. He is survived by his children, Dawn Bourrell Rayburn (Jeff) of Madison, AL., and Gerald Bourrell Jr. (Megan) of Huntsville; six grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Depoister. A celebration of life service will be on Thursday March 13th, 2025, at 3:30 PM at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Madison, AL, with Father Bryan Lowe officiating.
