Lady Hawks look to soar under new coach, classification

Can the Lady Hawks offense carry the team as they look for an ace in the circle? Can the Lady Hawks maintain their level of success from the last few years as they step up to Class 4A?

Who do you expect to have a big year? I expect our senior leaders to have a big season. Reed, Guest and Tucker have a lot of experience and will continue to build on their success from last season.

Quoting coach: “Our girls have been working hard this offseason and are excited for a great season. Our seniors and upperclassmen have a wealth of experience and know what it takes to make it all the way and they have been working toward that goal all year. We have some young talent that we look forward to seeing be able to contribute to the lineup this year! I couldn’t be prouder of the hard work these girls have put in and can’t wait to see how it translates to the season. Our goal is to come in everyday and find a way to get better. These girls are truly a family who will play and work hard for each other. I think that is something that sets them apart!”

What do the Lady Hawks need to do to be successful? We need to have a strong year offensively, especially with our inexperience in the circle.

Area outlook: I believe that our area will be very competitive. West Morgan and Good Hope had good seasons last year and returned a lot of their team. East Lawrence will be strong as well. Each area game will be a challenge that will help prepare us for the postseason.
